residential vs datacenter VPN IPs — actually matters more than i expected

So i found out the hard way that not all VPN IPs are equal at these sites. been using a pretty standard provider for ages and started getting friction at Roobet that i couldn't explain. switched to a residential IP service (basically routes through real home connections) and the issues just stopped. turns out datacenter IPs are trivially easy for sites to flag as VPN, residential ones look like a normal household.

the anjouan/no-license spots like Cryptorino and Betpanda honestly don't seem to care either way, i've never had issues there regardless of what IP type i'm on. but for anything curacao-adjacent it makes a real difference. found a decent review of Cryptorino here cryptorino which mentions their setup if you want a baseline comparison.

residential VPN costs more obviously. for pure privacy on sites that don't care, a regular datacenter IP is fine and way cheaper. but if you're bouncing locations or doing anything that might trigger a geo-check, residential is worth it. took me longer to figure this out than i'd like to admit lol
